It's a good story with Thomas Brewster entering the Doctor's life again, though this time with another Doctor. I enjoyed the overall story with Brewster once again impersonating the Doctor (as he did in a previous adventure "Time Reef") and the Doctor having to figure out why. The sound effects and acting in this one are top notch, as with most Big Finish productions. I've never been a big Smythe fan as a companion, but she's bearable in this one mostly because she's in the background for the main part of it.Product details

This is a fast-paced and fun story that finds a boatload of interesting characters (many from previous stories) returning. DI Menzies from the Six and Charley stories needs the Doctor's help because a new crime boss calling himself "the Doctor" is operating a strange mob led by school teachers, retirees, and housewives.
The Doctor arrives with Evelyn but hasn't yet met Menzies which leads to complications. This is a very solidly plotted story, while Evelyn (as herself) is given a minimal role, the plot is bursting with great characters from past sets (Menzies, Evelyn, and Thomas Brewster) as well as Flip making her first appearance a year before she would be the Doctor's new companion. The story has some funny moments as well as some thrilling ones. Overall, a memorable romp and a great start to the trilogy.
